- 250 g chicken
- 1/2 tsp garlic
- Oil
- 2 green chilies (chopped)
- 2-3 dry red chillies
- 2 twigs of curry leaves
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 1/2 cup mango pulp (1 sindhri & 1 chaunsa)
- 1 cup coconut milk
- Spices
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/4 tsp red chili powder
- 1/4 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp cumin (whole)
- Garnish
- Coriander
- Red chilies (round cut)
Steps to make to make Mango Chicken Coconut curry
- Heat up the pot and pour oil. Add chopped freshly garlic, stir it and add chicken pieces. (I used chicken with bone, we can use boneless chicken also). Fry for 10 mins at least or once it changes color to light golden. Once it done, dish out in plate and keep aside.
- In the same pan, add whole cumin mustard seeds and wait to gets splatter. Once it’s start splattering, add grated ginger along green chilies and dry red chilies. Fry little bit on low flame.
- Peel mangoes, put it in the blender and make mango pulp in the mean time and keep aside.
- Chilies also started to get splatter, add curry leaves along mango pulp. Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala. Mix it well and cook for 5 mins.
- Once the pulp properly mix with all spices, add a cup of coconut milk.
- Squeeze a lemon about 1 tsp. Stir and cook for 5 more mins. Then add chicken. Cover it for 10 mins on low flame.
- Tadaaa... dish out sweet, tangy mango chicken coconut curry, garnish with coriander and red chilies Serve with your garlicky rice or plain rice.
